About Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin

Abdulmumin Jibrin represents Bebeji/Kiru Federal Constituency of Kano State in the House of Representatives and sits with the All Progressives Congress (APC). He first entered the House on 6 June 2011 and returned for the 10th National Assembly at the 2023 general election, having contested that year on the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

Jibrin chaired the House Committee on Finance in the 7th Assembly and the Committee on Appropriations in the 8th Assembly, from which he was removed in 2016. Between 2020 and 2022 he served as an executive director at the Federal Housing Authority. He moved from the Peoples Democratic Party to the APC in 2014 and to the NNPP in 2022; the NNPP expelled him on 6 September 2025 over alleged anti-party activity, and he formally joined the APC on 10 November 2025.

In May 2026 he secured the APC ticket for Bebeji/Kiru ahead of the 2027 general election, seeking a fifth term.
