Abdussamad Dasuki represents Kebbe/Tambuwal Federal Constituency of Sokoto State in the House of Representatives and has served as Deputy Minority Leader since 13 June 2026, when the chamber's opposition caucus announced a reconstituted leadership under Minority Leader Frederick Agbedi. He sits on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Dasuki sat in the Sokoto State House of Assembly for Tambuwal East between 2011 and 2015, chairing its committees on agriculture and later on finance and appropriation. He first entered the House of Representatives in 2015 and chaired the House Committee on the Navy from October 2015. From June 2019 to May 2023 he was Sokoto State Commissioner for Finance under Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal. Earlier he worked at the Dangote Group as a corporate business manager between 2006 and 2010.
As of August 2026, Dasuki remains Deputy Minority Leader of the House.
