Afam Victor Ogene represents Ogbaru Federal Constituency, Anambra State, in the 10th House of Representatives on the platform of the Labour Party. Ogene won the seat at the February 2023 general election, and the National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal affirmed his return in October 2023. He had served an earlier term in the House before the 2023 comeback.
On 20 June 2026 the House minority caucus named Ogene its spokesperson, part of the reconstitution that produced Fred Agbedi as Minority Leader.
