Akingbaso Festus Olanrewaju represents Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency of Ondo State in the House of Representatives, sitting for the All Progressives Congress. He took the seat at the February 2023 general election and was inaugurated with the 10th National Assembly in June 2023.
Akingbaso was the Peoples Democratic Party's deputy governorship candidate in the 2024 Ondo State election, running with Agboola Ajayi. He crossed to the APC in 2025 and was received by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. In May 2026 he was reported to have lost the APC primary for the Idanre/Ifedore seat. He has campaigned publicly for investment in tourism around the Idanre Hills.
