Aliyu Sani Madaki represents Dala federal constituency of Kano State in the 10th House of Representatives, sitting on the All Progressives Congress platform. He won the seat at the 2023 general election on the ticket of the New Nigeria Peoples Party.
Madaki held a deputy post in the House minority leadership during the Assembly's first half. In February 2026 the Kano chapter of the NNPP publicly demanded his removal from that office after he attended an APC meeting. He crossed to the APC in late March 2026 in a mass defection of eight Kano House members and 22 state assembly members, an event attended by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and former governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
As of August 2026 Madaki remains the member for Dala.
