Balele Aminu represents the Dutsin-Ma/Kurfi Federal Constituency of Katsina State in the House of Representatives, elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress at the February 2023 general election and sworn into the 10th National Assembly on 13 June 2023.
Before entering the House, Aminu chaired the Katsina State Football Association, the role by which he was widely identified in coverage of his 2023 victory; he discussed his move from sports administration into electoral politics in an April 2023 interview.
As of August 2026 he remains an APC member of the House.
