About Hon. Bello El-Rufai

Bello El-Rufai represents the Kaduna North Federal Constituency of Kaduna State in the House of Representatives. He won the seat at the general election of 25 February 2023, contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, and is a son of the former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai.

In May 2026 El-Rufai left the All Progressives Congress for the African Democratic Congress, following his father, who had announced his own defection days earlier. On 30 May 2026 he secured the African Democratic Congress nomination for Kaduna North unopposed.
