James Abiodun Faleke represents Ikeja Federal Constituency of Lagos State in the House of Representatives and sits on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He first entered the chamber in 2011 and won the APC ticket for a fourth term ahead of the 2023 general election, returning with the 10th National Assembly on 13 June 2023.
In the 10th Assembly Faleke chairs the House Committee on Finance, an appointment announced in the committee list released by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas on 28 July 2023. A business management and logistics consultant by background, he was earlier a local government figure in Lagos and was the running mate to Abubakar Audu on the APC ticket in the 2015 Kogi State governorship election.
In April 2026 he publicly backed Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat for the 2027 Lagos governorship, and in August 2026 he began seeking constituents' backing for another term.
