Ganiyu Ayuba represents Alimosho Federal Constituency of Lagos State in the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He entered the House in the 10th Assembly, inaugurated on 13 June 2023.
In May 2026 Ayuba won the APC primary for the Alimosho seat ahead of the 2027 general election. The result drew a series of statements from constituency groups, Awori community representatives and traditional rulers urging the party leadership to uphold it, and protests in June 2026 against what participants described as a plan to overturn the primary.
As of August 2026, Ayuba is the member for Alimosho.
