Ginger Onwusibe represents Isiala Ngwa North/Isiala Ngwa South Federal Constituency of Abia State in the House of Representatives on the platform of the Labour Party. He won the seat at the February 2023 general election, and the National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal upheld his return in September 2023.
In November 2024 gunmen attacked his convoy in Abia State, killing police officers attached to it. In February 2025 he rejected as false and defamatory allegations linking him to a bribery claim in the Binance case before the National Assembly.
As of August 2026, Onwusibe remains the member for Isiala Ngwa North/Isiala Ngwa South.
