Inuwa Garba represents Yamaltu/Deba Federal Constituency, Gombe State, in the House of Representatives. He won the seat at the 2023 general election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party and was sworn in with the 10th Assembly in June 2023.
Garba defected to the All Progressives Congress in February 2026, the second Gombe member of the House to cross the floor to the governing party in that period. In the chamber he has pressed constituency-level security and environmental questions, calling in October 2025 for federal action over fatal hippopotamus attacks along the Gongola, and announcing in July 2026 a planned peace symposium on the farmer-herder conflict.
