Abubakar Hassan Nalaraba represents the Awe/Doma/Keana federal constituency of Nasarawa State in Nigeria's House of Representatives, elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He first won the seat at the 2019 general election and was returned in 2023 for the 10th Assembly.
In the 10th Assembly, Nalaraba chairs the House Committee on Aids, Loans and Debt Management. His constituency work has included a scholarship scheme reported in September 2025 covering about 1,000 Nasarawa students.
In November 2025 he publicly objected to the APC's zoning arrangement in Nasarawa State, and in May 2026 he withdrew from the state's governorship race, declaring instead for the Nasarawa South senatorial seat ahead of the 2027 elections. As of August 2026 he remains the member for Awe/Doma/Keana.
