About Hon. Ogbara Kafilat
Kafilat Adetola Ogbara represents Kosofe Federal Constituency of Lagos State in the 10th House of Representatives, elected in the 2023 general election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress after winning the party's 2022 primary. She chairs the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development.
Before her election, Ogbara worked as a television presenter on the Nigerian Television Authority programme Faces and Events, was a newspaper publisher and managing director, and held trade and investment roles at the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She served on the NTA board and, from 2020, on the Lagos State Audit Service Commission. She holds degrees from the University of Lagos in English, international law and diplomacy, and public administration.
Ogbara was born on 3 May 1972. In 2025 she received the chieftaincy title of Yeye Oge of Egbin Kingdom.
