Yusuf Adamu Gagdi represents the Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam federal constituency of Plateau State in the House of Representatives, sitting for the All Progressives Congress. He was first elected on 11 June 2019 to the 9th National Assembly and returned at the 2023 general election. He was born on 5 November 1980 in Gum-Gagdi and studied at the University of Jos.
In the 9th Assembly Gagdi chaired the House Committee on Navy. In July 2026 he was named to chair an ad hoc committee investigating a ₦1.3bn budgetary allocation to an agency the House described as non-existent.
In May 2026 he was initially reported to have lost the APC primary for the constituency, a result the party reversed days later, declaring him its candidate for 2027. As of August 2026 Gagdi holds the Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam seat.
