Adeniyi Ayodele Adegbonmire is Senator for Ondo Central, elected on the All Progressives Congress platform at the 25 February 2023 general election with 103,871 votes (58.17 per cent), defeating Ifedayo Adedipe of the Peoples Democratic Party. It is his first term; the seat changed hands after the incumbent, Patrick Ayo Akinyelure, lost PDP renomination.
Adegbonmire is a lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, and a graduate of the Faculty of Law, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He entered the Senate without prior elective office.
