About Senator Agom Jarigbe
Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe represents Cross River North in the Senate. He first took the seat through a disputed by-election, which the Supreme Court resolved in his favour in July 2021, and was sworn in on 15 September 2021. He was returned at the February 2023 general election on the Peoples Democratic Party platform, defeating former Governor Ben Ayade.
Jarigbe was elected to the House of Representatives in 2015 for the Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency and served two terms before moving to the Senate. In October 2025 he defected from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress.
As of August 2026 he sits as an APC senator and has signalled his intention to seek re-election in 2027.
