About Senator Chinedu Munir Nwoko

Chinedu Munir Nwoko, widely known as Ned Nwoko, has represented Delta North Senatorial District since 13 June 2023. He won the seat at the February 2023 general election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, defeating the sitting senator, Peter Nwaoboshi, and now sits for the All Progressives Congress.

A lawyer and businessman, Nwoko was a member of the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2003, representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency. He announced his resignation from the PDP on 30 January 2025 and moved to the APC. His election to the Senate was upheld by the Court of Appeal sitting in Asaba.

As of August 2026 Nwoko remains the senator for Delta North.
