Ede Omueya Dafinone has represented Delta Central Senatorial District since 13 June 2023, elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress at the February 2023 general election. He is serving a first term in the Senate.
Dafinone is a chartered accountant. He trained with Touche Ross & Co in London between 1984 and 1988 before joining Crowe Dafinone in Lagos in 1989, becoming a partner in 1997 and deputy managing partner from 2007. He is a fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, and formerly chaired the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria's Export Promotion Group. He belonged to the PDP from 1998 to 2010 and to the Democratic Peoples Party from 2010 to 2014 before joining the APC.
In the 10th Senate he is vice-chairman of the committees on Legislative Compliance and on Local Content.
