Garba Musa Maidoki has represented Kebbi South in the Nigerian Senate since 13 June 2023. He won the seat at the general election of 25 February 2023 as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, polling 75,232 votes to unseat the incumbent, Bala Ibn Na'Allah of the All Progressives Congress, who scored 70,785.
Maidoki spent more than three decades in education, entering full-time teaching in 1972 before moving into politics. In the 10th Senate he has chaired the Committee on Legislative Compliance and served as vice-chairman of the Committee on Information and National Orientation.
He crossed from the PDP to the APC on 13 May 2025 alongside Muhammad Adamu Aliero and Yahaya Abubakar Abdullahi, then left the APC for the African Democratic Congress on 23 June 2026, citing a rift with Governor Nasir Idris over his public appeals on banditry in Kebbi South.
