Haruna Manu has represented Taraba Central in the Nigerian Senate since 13 June 2023, elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party. He took the seat at the general election of 25 February 2023, defeating Bobboi Kaigama and succeeding Yusuf Abubakar Yusuf.
Born 23 August 1973, Manu was Deputy Governor of Taraba State from 2015 to 2023, serving under Governor Darius Ishaku across two terms. He entered elective politics in the House of Representatives, sitting for the Bali/Gassol federal constituency from 2011 to 2015, where he was deputy chairman of the House Committee on Banking and Currency. He joined the PDP in late 2010.
As of August 2026 Manu remains senator for Taraba Central on the PDP platform.
