Kelvin Chukwu is the Senator for Enugu East, Enugu State, elected on the platform of the Labour Party. He won the district's rescheduled poll of 18 March 2023 with 69,136 votes, defeating the incumbent, Chimaroke Nnamani, who polled 48,701, and assumed office on 13 June 2023 with the 10th National Assembly.
Chukwu became the Labour Party candidate after his elder brother, Oyibo Chukwu, the party's original nominee, was killed on 22 February 2023, three days before the originally scheduled election. He studied mass communication at the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, and law at Ebonyi State University, and ran Clanchedra Services, a stone mining and crushing business, before entering the Senate.
As of August 2026 he is serving his first term, which runs to 2027.
