Oyelola Yisa Ashiru, known as Lola Ashiru, is the Senator for Kwara South, Kwara State, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress. Born on 14 June 1955 in Offa, he first won the seat at the 2019 general election, defeating the incumbent Rafiu Ibrahim, and was returned in 2023 for a second term in the 10th National Assembly.
An architect by training, Ashiru ran Capital Projects Limited, a real estate firm with operations in Lagos and Abuja, before entering elective politics. He contested on the Peoples Democratic Party platform in earlier cycles and moved to the APC in August 2018. In the 9th Senate he served as vice chairman of the committees on Housing and on Public Procurement.
Ashiru holds a place among the 10th Senate's principal officers, serving as Deputy Senate Leader.
