Neda Bernards Imasuen has represented Edo South, Edo State, in the Senate since 13 June 2023, having won the seat at the 2023 general election. He is serving a first term.
Imasuen is a lawyer, enrolled as a solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1985, and holds a master's degree in public administration from Long Island University, Brooklyn (2004). He was disbarred by the New York State Supreme Court in 2010 for professional misconduct. He chaired the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions in the 10th Senate, the panel that handled the 2025 disciplinary proceedings against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
