About Senator Oluranti Adebule
Idiat Oluranti Adebule has represented Lagos West, Lagos State, in the Senate since 13 June 2023, elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress. She is serving a first term.
Adebule was the 15th Deputy Governor of Lagos State from 2015 to 2019, deputising Governor Akinwunmi Ambode. She earlier served as a commissioner at the Lagos State Post Primary Teaching Service Commission from 2000 to 2005 and as Secretary to the State Government in 2011. An academic by background, she holds a doctorate in curriculum studies from Lagos State University, where she taught in the department of curriculum studies.
