Titus Tartengar Zam has represented Benue North West Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate since 13 June 2023, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress. He took the seat at the February 2023 general election, defeating the then Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, who contested for the Peoples Democratic Party and later withdrew his petition against the result.
Zam was named chairman of the Senate Committee on Rules and Business on 8 August 2023, one of the chamber's procedural committees, and is serving his first term.
As of August 2026 he remains the senator for Benue North West.
