About Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin

Abass Adigun Agboworin represents the Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East Federal Constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party. He first entered the House in 2019 and returned for a second term after the 2023 cycle, in which the constituency's result was decided by a supplementary poll: he was declared winner on 15 April 2023, defeating the APC candidate, Lam-Adesina. The Elections Petition Tribunal affirmed his return in October 2023.

In the 10th Assembly, Agboworin has aligned with the opposition bloc, arguing in June 2023 that minority-party lawmakers should organise as a common caucus. He is widely reported in Oyo State for constituency projects and empowerment schemes, among them the Kajola-Irede-Odinjo-Alake road project in Ibadan flagged off in March 2024.

As of August 2026, Agboworin remains the member for the constituency.
