About Hon. Akinola Adekunle Alabi
Akinola Adekunle Alabi, widely known as Akin Alabi, represents the Egbeda/Ona Ara federal constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Born 31 March 1977, he was first elected in 2019 and returned at the 2023 general election. He has chaired the House Committee on Works since October 2023, having chaired the Committee on Inter-Governmental Affairs in the 9th Assembly.
Before politics Alabi founded NairaBET, described as Nigeria's first online sports betting company, and established the Lagos-based football club Lekki United F.C. He holds postgraduate qualifications from the University of Liverpool, Harvard University and Middlesex University London, the last completed in June 2025.
Alabi was installed Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland in May 2025 and elevated to Aare Onibon Olubadan in July 2026.
