Adeleke Re-elected Osun Governor on Accord Platform

The Independent National Electoral Commission declared Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord party winner of the Osun State governorship election held on 15 August 2026. Adeleke polled 511,067 votes to defeat Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who scored 444,815, while Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress placed third with 17,180 votes. Adeleke, who left the Peoples Democratic Party for Accord in late 2025, won 19 of the state's 30 local government areas to secure a second four-year term. The result made Accord the first party other than the PDP and APC to win a governorship election in Osun State.
