Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, widely known as Halims, represents the Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State in the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressives Congress. INEC declared him winner of the constituency on 26 February 2023, and he was named Deputy Majority Leader of the 10th House of Representatives, serving under Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Majority Leader Julius Ihonvbere.
Ali was first returned to the House in the 2019 general election and re-elected in 2023. Among the causes he has pressed from the floor is the creation of Okura State from the Igala-speaking area of Kogi, which he restated in December 2024.
As of August 2026, Ali remains Deputy Majority Leader and is his party's candidate for the constituency ahead of the 2027 elections, having emerged the APC consensus choice in May 2026.
