Agbedi Yeitiemone Fredrick has been Minority Leader of the Nigerian House of Representatives since 11 June 2026, emerging for the post after Ikenga Ugochinyere withdrew his nomination; a deputy minority leader and a caucus spokesperson, Afam Ogene, were named in the same reconstitution. Agbedi represents Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency, Bayelsa State, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, a seat he has held since June 2015.
Born 20 February 1960, Agbedi taught before moving into private business in the mid-1980s. He first entered the National Assembly in the Third Republic, elected in 1992. He chaired the Bayelsa State PDP from 2005 to 2008, directed Seriake Dickson's 2012 and 2015 governorship campaigns and served as Dickson's senior special adviser on political matters from 2012 to 2014. He contested the Bayelsa governorship in 2011 and 2019 without success.
As of August 2026 Agbedi leads the minority caucus, which walked out of the chamber during passage of the State Police Bill on 23 July 2026.
