About Hon. Okolie Ngozi Lawrence
Okolie Ngozi Lawrence represents the Aniocha North/Aniocha South/Oshimili North/Oshimili South Federal Constituency of Delta State in the House of Representatives. He won the seat at the February 2023 general election as the candidate of the Labour Party, unseating the long-serving incumbent and then House Minority Leader, Ndudi Elumelu. An election petition tribunal nullified his return in July 2023, a decision he appealed and which was subsequently set aside, leaving him in the seat.
Okolie was born on 1 March 1982. In May 2025 he resigned from the Labour Party and joined the All Progressives Congress, the party under which our record lists him. Earlier that year a constituency group announced moves to recall him, and he publicly rejected allegations that projects attributed to him had not been executed.
As of August 2026, Okolie remains the member for the Aniocha/Oshimili constituency.
