About Senator Francis Adedayo Faduyile
Francis Adedayo Faduyile has represented Ondo South Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate since 24 June 2026, when Senate President Godswill Akpabio swore him in alongside three other by-election winners. Faduyile was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress at the by-election of 21 June 2026, called after the Senate declared the seat vacant on 28 April 2026 following the appointment of Jimoh Ibrahim as Nigeria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
A physician, forensic pathologist and university teacher, Faduyile was national president of the Nigerian Medical Association from 2018 to 2020. He is a professor of pathology and forensic medicine and held his first elective office on entering the Senate.
As of August 2026, Faduyile holds the Ondo South seat as a member of the All Progressives Congress.
