Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, known as Yayi, has represented the Ogun West senatorial district since 13 June 2023, sitting for the All Progressives Congress. He had earlier represented Lagos West from 9 June 2015 to 11 June 2023, so the 10th Assembly is his third Senate term but his first for Ogun State.
Born 10 August 1969, Adeola sat in the Lagos State House of Assembly for Alimosho Constituency 2 (2003–2011) and in the House of Representatives for Alimosho federal constituency (2011–2015), where he chaired the Public Accounts Committee as a first-term member. A chartered accountant with a Higher National Diploma from Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, he worked at The Guardian newspapers before founding a tax consultancy.
Adeola has chaired the Senate Committee on Appropriations since 8 August 2023, the position he holds as of August 2026.
