Honourable Alfred Ajang Iliya
About Hon. Alfred Ajang Iliya
Alfred Iliya Ajang represents the Jos South/Jos East federal constituency of Plateau State in the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He did not take the seat at the 2023 general election: in September 2023 an election petition tribunal sacked the declared winner, Dachung Bagos of the Peoples Democratic Party, and returned Ajang, then the Labour Party candidate, as the validly elected member.
Ajang defected from the Labour Party to the APC in December 2024, citing the party's leadership crisis — one of several Labour Party members of the 10th Assembly to leave the party in that period.
As of August 2026, Ajang remains the member for Jos South/Jos East.
