About Hon. Omosede Igbinedion

Omosede Igbinedion represents Ovia North East/Ovia South West Federal Constituency of Edo State in the 10th House of Representatives on the All Progressives Congress platform. She took the seat at the by-election held on 16 August 2025, which the Independent National Electoral Commission declared in her favour.

A lawyer called to the Nigerian Bar in 2007, with an LL.B from the University of Kent and a master's degree in diplomatic studies from the University of Westminster, Igbinedion first represented the same constituency in the 8th Assembly from 2015, entering on the Peoples Democratic Party platform as its youngest female member. She served as Deputy Chairman of the Committee on House Services and on committees including aviation, judiciary and rural development. She emerged as the APC candidate for the constituency in July 2025.

As of August 2026, Igbinedion remains the member for Ovia.
