Shehu Dalhatu Tafoki represents Faskari/Kankara/Sabuwa federal constituency of Katsina State in the 10th House of Representatives. He was declared winner of a rerun poll in the constituency in February 2024, and the National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal upheld the return in July 2024, a decision affirmed by the Court of Appeal the following month after litigation that had run since the 2023 cycle.
Tafoki has spoken publicly about banditry in the three local government areas he represents and, in March 2025, undertook a Ramadan constituency distribution reported at N150 million.
As of August 2026 he remains the member for Faskari/Kankara/Sabuwa.
