Folajimi Oyekunle represents Ibadan North federal constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives. He won a by-election for the seat on 16 August 2025 as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and was sworn in by the House on 16 October 2025. In May 2026 he joined the Allied Peoples Movement, the platform on which he was returned as the constituency's candidate for the 2027 election later that month.
Oyekunle has said his legislative priorities are youth and women empowerment, and by February 2026 he had sponsored two bills seeking the establishment of federal institutions. In August 2026 he opened a constituency intake for the House's one-day membership scheme for young people.
