About Hon. Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala

Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala represents the Ogbomoso North/Ogbomoso South/Orire Federal Constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressives Congress. He won the seat at the February 2023 general election and was sworn in with the 10th National Assembly in June 2023. He is a son of the late Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, Governor of Oyo State from 2007 to 2011.

In the House, Alao-Akala sponsored a bill for the creation of a new Oyo State with Ogbomoso proposed as its capital; the measure passed second reading on 21 November 2024. In May 2026 constituency groups publicly credited him with development projects and empowerment initiatives across the three local government areas.
